Dearest Aurora,

Wow.. it's hard to believe that you've been with us for an entire year already! It's been such a wonderful & exciting time.. Penny and I are so lucky to have you in our lives!

You're just a fantastic little girl.. every day you bring such joy to us! This morning was just lovely.. you woke up and smiled at me & then pointed at my nose and lovingly said "dah da". I then asked where your head was & you smacked it & smiled. So I winked at you and you gave me a gorgeous full-body blink that just makes everyone who see's it explode into laughter.

Then you signed for a bottle (also saying "boh"), so I got up & brought you into the living room where you saw your gorgeous mother whose face just lights up every time she sees you. It's amazing.. when the two of you look at each other I can't imagine anything more beautiful.

Then you got a couple of pressies.. danced a wee bit.. and had some breakfast. Then we went to the doctor for your checkup where you were told that you're brilliant, perfect, and that we're very lucky to have such an amazing child.

And we really are.
