Pittie Palooza Festival will feature adoptable dogs

September 19 event to raise funds for animal welfare groups

Peace, wine and paw prints!

The fifth annual Pittie Palooza Festival will offer a chance to raise a glass to benefit local animal rescues.

The event is scheduled from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on September 19 at Maiolatesi Wine Cellars, 32 Cabernet Drive, Scott Township.

Hosted by PittieChicks.com and Treasure’s Hope, an animal welfare and volunteer organization, the Pittie Palooza is a dog-friendly festival with music and wine.

You’ll find live music, over 37 wines from the Maiolatesi wine cellars, presentations by animal welfare groups, vendors, artisans and food trucks and more.

If you don’t have a four-legged best friend yet, you might meet one among the many adoptable pets that will be there.

Each ticket entitles you to a wine tasting, two glasses of wine, entry to the festival and a souvenir glass of wine for the first 100 people.

Discounted tickets can be purchased in advance at pittiepalooza.com and tickets will cost $25 at the door. Designated driver tickets are available at a discounted rate of $10.

Garden chairs and blankets are welcome. This is not a BYOB/Food event. No outside food or coolers please. Pittie Palooza will take place rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable. You must be 21 to drink. The event is not recommended for children.

The proceeds of the Festival will be distributed among the relief groups present. The latest Pittie Palooza raised and donated over $4,500 in one day.

The event is not just for pit bull owners, but for all breeds and dog lovers. All friendly, well-socialized purebred dogs are welcome. One dog per handler, no retractable leash is allowed. Participants must be prepared to pick up after their dog.
